This lively, summer class introduces young musicians to the fundamentals of rhythm in a fun and engaging way. Using a variety of percussion instruments and musical examples, students will explore beat, timing, and coordination. By the end of the course, they’ll have developed a strong sense of rhythm along with an understanding of basic percussion notation.
Week 2 - Music Magic: Play, Learn, Shine!
This exciting summer course is perfect for young musicians ready to explore the world of music! Students will discover note names, pitches, solfège, and the basics of music notation through a variety of engaging games, hands-on activities, and creative experiences. It’s a fun and interactive way to build musical skills—because learning music should feel like play!
Week 3 - Makin’ Music: “Put It All Together”
An exciting, hands-on course where young musicians learn how all the pieces of music connect! Students will explore the fundamentals of notes, rhythms, and notation, discovering how each element works together to create real music. By the end of the course, students will understand how to combine rhythm, pitch, and notation to “put it all together” and perform as part of a group—while having a great time making music with others!
Week 4 - String Theory
A fun and fascinating course that introduces young musicians to the world of stringed instruments—where music begins with a vibration! Students will explore a variety of instruments including guitar, violin, harp, piano, and ukulele, discovering what makes each one unique while learning how they’re all connected. Students will dive into the science of sound—how vibrations create music, how string length and tension affect pitch, and why instruments sound different from one another. Through hands-on activities and demonstrations, students will experiment with plucking, strumming, and bowing to see (and hear!) these concepts in action. By the end of the session, young musicians will have a deeper understanding of how string instruments work, an appreciation for their history, and the confidence to continue exploring music in exciting new ways!
Summer Camp Choir
Pricing and BundlesOur FIRST EVER Rhapsody Camp Choir! Come join us as we experience a full ensemble choir experience. Students will get to experience multiple styles and genres of vocal literature. This is a MUST for ALL musicians!! Part singing, ear training, ensemble practice and vocal production will help ANY musician excel as a performer.
Advanced musicians may have the opportunity for conducting, section leader development, and mentoring of younger students. Current high school Juniors and Seniors can apply to be a Musical Mentor. Gain valuable music experience and earn volunteer or community service hours.

This high-energy summer class uses urban bucket drumming as an exciting way for young musicians to dive into rhythm and percussion. Students will learn to create beats and patterns using buckets and sticks. Building skills in timing, coordination, and musical expression. Through group jam sessions and ensemble-style playing, they’ll also experience the power of making music together.
Week 2 - Boomwhacker Band
This class introduces notes, sightreading, and simple melodies through the use of Boomwhackers, giving students a fun and colorful way to connect rhythm with pitch. By the end of the course, they’ll have a strong foundation in rhythm, notes, and an introduction to reading music and performing melodies—all while having a blast.
Week 3 - Beginning Recorder
This fun and engaging week-long course introduces young musicians to the basics of playing the recorder—a perfect first instrument! Students will learn proper posture, breath control, and finger placement while exploring how to produce clear, confident tones. Each day builds on the last, helping students grow more comfortable with their instrument while gaining confidence in their musical abilities. By the end of the course, students will be able to play a few simple tunes and perform together as a group—setting the stage for future musical learning!
Week 4 - Beginning Ukulele
Introduces young musicians to the joyful world of the ukulele! Students will learn the basics of this friendly, easy-to-play instrument, including proper hand positioning, simple chords, and strumming patterns. With interactive activities, group practice, and guided instruction, students will quickly build confidence as they learn to play. They’ll have the opportunity to practice and perform simple songs together, developing both musical skills and ensemble experience. By the end of the course, students will be able to play a few basic chords, strum along in rhythm, and confidently perform simple songs on the ukulele—setting the stage for their continued musical journey!

Beginning Rhythm
This fun jam session of a class allows our youngest musicians to learn and experience the basics of rhythm, utilizing a range of percussive instruments and music examples. They'll come out with a sense of rhythm and knowledge of basic notation for all things percussion.
Beginning Woodwind with Recorders
Learn basic concepts of woodwind instruments reading notes, finger coordination and use of air. All with a recorder! *$10 additional fee is required for the recorder, which you own after the class.
